Hatchlings of War

Scath flicked her tail angrily. She lifed her muzzle and blew a test flame. if curled around the patch of deer, charring the hide. A small laugh escaped her lips. She looked at the small hatchlings.

"I'm hungry too!" Aplala agreed with her. The scent of the dead chicken was making his nose twitch. He had the urgent to see what it taste like so he kneel down and licked it slightly. Becoming more hungry, he started to eat more of it. It didn't take too long for him to have enough of this dead chicken taste. He sniffed at the silver hatchling, remembering her scent. He saw another Bloodwraith feeding on an deer. Curious, he gone over. Licking the dead deer slightly, not daring to look up to see the look on it's face to see an hatchling licking it's prey.

Scath turned her head up high. She was annoyed. She stood up and walked back over to her corner, where a small pile of hay lay. Newborns... She though angrily.

Okay, what's the deal with her? Eldvestia was more than annoyed. Sharing is caring, she huffed. She hadnt had the chance to get a whiff of the deer when noises echoed outside. Were those bloodwraiths coming back? What did they want with them? Whatever it was, Eldvestia was sure she wouldnt let them do anything they wanted with her. Not if she could help it.

Scatch stretched her wings. She curned up on the hey and folded her wings around her. She closed her eyes and hoped to get a bit of sleep, despite the three hatchlings just standing there.

"Scath!" barked one of the other Bloodwraiths whom seemed to also be in the same room as the others. He seemed annoyed, slightly shorter then her and very grumpy. "Behave! They are just only hatchlings. You know better then that. Master wouldn't want you to be getting in fights with them later on."
Aplala ate some of the deer nervously. As soon as he got full, he went back to his siblings. Standing near them. He was only doing this cause he doesn't feel so comfortable with these yelling, rude, tall adults in the same area they were all in. He didn't feel like talking now in till they were in somewhere private. Away from these Bloodwraiths. He nudged the silver hatchling whom he talked to before, he wanted to call her something but there wasn't anything to call her. He was beginning to wonder what his own name was.

Before Scath slept, she let out a small colum of fire. She didn't really care what the other Blood Wraiths thought. As long as the Master was happy.

"Stay awake, Scath!" yelled another one at the Bloodwraith whom seemed to just doze off to sleep once finished with the deer.
Aplala wasn't interested in what they were saying, but he watched in excitement when he saw the fire bust out of Scath's mouth. He tried to do the same, breathing in and out as he tried to summon fire to breath out of his mouth. But he didn't have much luck, only shiny sparks were sprayed out of his mouth at the ground. Almost instantly, most of the Bloodwraiths got excited.
"I'll tell Master that one of them already discovered it's powers," grinned the short one as it walked up the stairs. Aplala just ignored them, trying to still breath out fire like Scath did but only another wave of lighting sparks sprayed out of his mouth.

Scath simply ignored the other Blood Wraiths. Who cared what they thought? Not her. She was certain of that. Instead, she just slept on. Her wings covering her like a blanket.

((ERMM OOPS SORRY but could i clarify a few things? XD Scatch isnt one of the hatchlings is she? She belongs with the bloodwraiths right? XD)

It didn't take too long for the other Bloodwraiths to draft to sleep. Leaving the only ones awake were the silver dragons and the AroKai hatchling. Aplala saw the door not properly shut and felt an new urgent to go outside and see where it leads. It was getting boring standing in one spot all of the time. Nudging both silver dragons, he whispered, "Lets go and explore this place!"

"Are you kidding? Duh! I was waiting for the right moment to sneak out, cmon lets go already!" Eldvestia scrambled to the entrance, completely forgetting about the factor of sneakiness.

Aplala padded after Eldvestia nervously. He was getting used to his huge surroundings. The black brick walls of the place were huge, enough to fit any large dragon or loads of little ones. Some guards were on patrol but they seemed to be sleeping on the job. Leaning on the wall for support as they snored on. The hatchlings pasted them without any trouble.
There was an sudden screech of agony pain that made Aplala jump in surprise and alert. The screech was coming from down stairs and it sounded like some other dragon was in great pain or something horrible. Surpisenly, it didn't even wake up the guards.
"Who's hurt?" he wondered. Curious to see what was going on down the stairs.

Scath awoke. The newborns had gone. She gave out a little "Humph" of triumph. Cowards are they? She laughed to herself.

"I'm going to see who's making that noise," Aplala told her. Going down towards the stairs, dragging Eldvestia along with him. It didn't take too long for them to reach these iron doors standing in their path. He released the silver dragon as he nudged the door open slightly, peeking though to see one of the most beautifulest dragon that he had ever seen. It was just such an pretty and sad sight. It was lying on an metal table, chained to it with cuts spilled all over it. It's eyes were squeezing in pain as it shook uncontrollable. There were 3 BloodWraiths surrounding around it. Aplala knew what this was. The BloodWraiths were torturing the Fairy dragon. Trying to get information out of her or something. "Monsters!" he hissed lowly in anger. Only low enough for Eldvestia to hear him.

Aves was still, surveying the other dragons quietly. Some of the deer and chicken remained, and it ate some of it. What was this place? Why were all these Bloodwraiths here? Why did she feel so lonely now that the other two hatchlings were gone? Why didn't she follow? Why did she have so many questions?

She looked over at the Bloodwraith hatchling. It was a lot bigger than her but it wasn't quite as big as the other Bloodwraiths. Maybe he was friendly! "H-hi, I h-have a question." She trembled under its stern gaze. Why was everything here so cold? So careless?

Aves wanted warmth, so badly. So, so, so badly! her shaking became more and more violent, and then, something warm brushed against her. She looked around, but no one was right here, right next to her. And yet the warm something enveloped her, and she gave a small squeak of delight. The Bloddwraiths' eyes widened.

"Wind! She had control over wind!" One cried, and then he sprang off along the halls, quickly disappearing from sight.
(Oh, another weakness. She's of slight build and made for stealth, so she'd can be beaten up in a fight if one occurs. Just letting you know, in case she does have friends.)

Scath ignored the hatchling. All of these cowards... She though to herself. Not my fault if they don't want to grow to a great power... She sat up taller. She sat to attention and waited for something to happen.

Eldvestia shrank back into the shadows. The fairy dragon's whimpers were getting louder and more desperate. She wanted to do something but... What could she do? Neither her or her brother could do anything even if they wanted to.

Stop it! Just stop it! She screamed in her head...

Suddenly, the blood wraiths in the room seemed to stand still as though in a daze. After a few minutes, they snapped out of their trance, shook their heads, and resumed to what they were doing earlier.

Aves thought she heard a scream from somewhere and she ran off towards it before the Bloodwraiths could stop her, wondering if she could help in some way. She saw the other two hatchlings peering in upon a horrid scene in which a Fairy Dragon was being tortured by several Bloodwraiths.

"NO, STOP!!!" Aves screeched in her squeaky little voice, which would have been comical if she wasn't dead serious. She sprang upon the nearest one, who shook her off like a flea, and she slammed against the opposite wall with a sickening crunch. Darkness stole over her . . .

Scath heard the slam from the next room. She heard the squealing voice. Ugh... Newborns. Such novices at combat... She stalked out of the room, searching for the source of the comotion.

Before the BloodWraiths seemed to have like some kind of break or something. Almost as if they suddenly all of the sudden forgot what they were doing or something but then snapped out of their trance and kept working on the Fairy dragon. Then his other sister lunged at the BloodWraiths, attempting to stop them from hurting the Fairy dragon any more but they just flick her away like as if she was some kind of fly or something. There was an awful crunch noise when Aves hit the wall, not moving.
"Aves!" Aplala screeched in his hatchling voice as he ran over to her. Crouching down besides the silver dragon as he nudged her, fearing that she might be hurt, or worse.
"Someone get these kids out of here," growled one of the BloodWraiths.
"Only if boss didn't want them alive we wouldn't have any trouble getting information out of this Guardian with these newborns annoying us" grumbled another one. One of them stood up from it's spot, wiping it's claws covered in Fairy dragon's blood clean before scooping up all of the 3 hatchlings. Taking them back to the room where they were born in.

"HYYAAHH!" Eldvestia was spurred on by Aves sudden assault on the adult blood wraiths. Adrenaline rushed through her as jumped on an unsuspecting blood wraith, latching her tiny claws on its wings. The bloodwraith stumbled, then regained his orientation. Raising its brows in amusement, the bloodwraith picked Eldvestia up by her wings, holding her at a reasonable length away from his snout. Eldvestia thrashed and spat, and a little jet of blue flame shot out which danced wildly on the bloodwraith's skull. 

"Gyyyahhh!!" The bloodwraith dropped Eldvestia, and she rolled into a heap of wings and claws on the floor. She flailed around for a little bit as she got entangled in her ridiculous monstrosity of her wings. Was there an exit? Perhaps she should grab her siblings and get out of here. But where would they go? They haven't learnt how to fly yet, and Eldvestia was certain the Bloodwraiths could definitely fly faster then a bunch of little helpless hatchlings.
