OakClan~ Heart of a Tree~ part 1 (OPEN)

A brown she-cat walks up to you. Everyone else in the clan is also brown. Your the only one different. You see other snow white kits near you. She leads you to the deputy. The deputy is broad shouldered, big, and brown cat. His voice is very deep. "Are these the Snow-white cats Starclan has told us about, Hummingleaf?" he asked. The she-cat nodded. "You, young kits, are the only way to save us. StarClan has told Hummingleaf that this leaf-bare will be the worst. But only the white cats can hunt and protect our clan in this weather. And that's you all." You and the others dont really know about that. What is StarClan? What is he talking about? What's Leaf-bare? you wonder. "Hummingleaf, take them to the nursery for the time being."

As you walk across the camp, lots of cats hiss at you. A male elder says,"We don' née' any rotin' 'ittypets!" he says, holding up his paw. Hummingleaf sighs. "Not much people like kitty pets." she says. Kittypet? Well I'm not whatever that is. then someone asks,"what's a Kittypet?" "You can find out later, dear."

There's very few kits and mothers in the nursery. A mother sits with her two kits asleep next to her, and all the rest, which don't have mothers, are scattered around the floor. Hummingleaf leaves you there, to be scattered around too. As night falls, the deputy yowls,"all who can catch their own prey come beneath the high rock!" he says. You just stay there. You know you can't hunt. The mother in the room gets up and flicks her tail towards the opening in the Nursery. She means your supposed to be there. You and the other cats make your way up the high rock. "Today, we will name the nameless kits Hummingleaf found."

Plot:
There is something deadly among the clans. Leaf-bare this year will be worst then them all. The other clans are also planning to attack.

FireClan territory is lined against the hot lands near volcanoes, which they like best.
StormClan is in the harshest place, the lightning storms. No one knows how they survive, unless ur in it.
MitClan territory is in a marshy swamp covered in fog so no one knows where their going.
OakClan territory is in the woods, the oak Tree part.
At the far left of the woods, there are lots of two leg nests. This is where white cats come from.
The the far right, there's an old barn. Rouges live there.
Loners can live anywhere.

Unnamed looked around the nursery. She heard the rest of the Clan complaining. "But, why a kittypet? I'd rather fight a badger!" one male warrior protested. Unnamed shrunk back in fear. Did they really hate her that much? "Besides, they're suh different color!" he said. "We all know each clan has their color. Well, it's time to make that different." Hummingleaf said. Yeah, who cares about my fur? Unnamed thought.

(What do you mean "used to"? Is he dead?)

Unnamed looked at the other cats in alarm. What did they want? She shrank back in fear as they continued to argue amongst themselves when a very important-looking brown cat yowled, "Enough!!!" She glanced around angrily at the other cats, who turned their faces away in shame. "I'm in charge here," The light brown cat continued. "And I say that the white cats will stay."

The brown male flattened his ears. "S-sorry Beechfoot." he said. Humming leaf glared at him. "Just go hunting or something." she said. The cat raised his hackles, but then turned to Fodor a patrol.

Blossomstar curled up In her den. There would be lots of fish in the lake In leaf-bare. She stretched out in her den. Better that clans don't get mixed up, anyway.she thought.

Fiery star looked at the lava that surrounded his clan's camp. The forest was on the front of it, concealing the volcanic area. Shes coming! he thought. A dark pelt stood out against the forest. It's eyes we're piercing green. Fierystar knew. It was Ruby— with her pack of rouges. StarClan had told him this. And those cats— the white ones! They were what oakClan was going to find. He started running towards the inner part of the area.

"Fierystar, I know your there." Ruby growled.

Unnamed liked the sound of Beechstar's voice. So... Leaderish. She stood next to the other white cat and gazed out the hole to the brown flurry of cats.

"First thing is first. These cats shall be named. Everyone who can climb their own trees shall gather beneath the Great Oak!" Beechfoot yowled, leaping upon the nearest branch of the Great Oak to look down upon the growing crowd of brown cats looking curiously at the white kitty-pets. "Come closer, little kits." He said, gesturing with his tail for them to come closer. "It's time for you to get your apprentice names."

Unnamed crept closer, wondering what the important cat meant. An apprentice? The brown cat locked his eyes on her, and she turned her eyes away. "You shall go first." She heard the cat say. "Come closer." She did. "Look at me." And she did. Unnamed found herself staring into the most understanding blue eyes she had ever seen. It made her feel strangely safe, something she had not experienced in a long time. "From this moment on, you will known as Hopepaw, in the belief you and your friend will save us all. Branchflight will mentor you."

There was a murmur in the crowd and a slight, agile-looking she cat appeared and walked over to the little white cat. "We're supposed to touch noses now." She whispered to Hopepaw. She gave quick little nod and reached up her nose to be touched by Branchflight's.

(Beechfoot is a male. What do you want to name your cat?)

Unnamed watched as the other kit walked up to the big oak tree. The queen in the nursery flicked her tails towards it. Unnamed nodded and padded up to Beechfoot.

Everyone in the clan shouted, "Hopepaw! Hopepaw! Hopepaw!" one threw a vole at Beechfoot. The whole clan glared at the cat. It was a young warrior, Dirtbelly. She shrank back, knowing she shouldn't have thrown the vole. "Err... Hopepaw?"

Fiery star ran for the woods on the other side of Ruby. He headed for OakClan. They could help, surely, right? They had mch more clan members.

Beechfoot nodded as Unnamed came closer. "Do not be afraid, little one. Some here might not believe you belong here, or are destined for greatness. But they will believe and that is why you will be known as Faithpaw, in hopes that everyone here will come to believe in both of you. Brackenleap will be your mentor."

More cheering erupted from the crowd of cats as they yowled Faithpaw's name to the sky.

Other muscular Tom padded up to Faithpae, touching noses with her. "Faithpaw! Hopepaw!" we're the names that were being shouted. Faithpaw stood proudly next to Hopepaw,Branchflight,and BrCkenfoot.

Ruby looked around and narrowed her eyes. "It looks as if the camp has been abandoned," Minorshot said. "I think I would know, Minorshot." she snapped back. "And we even had a deal." she muttered. "Sis, we can just go raid OakClan." Skull said. "But they are much more in numbers. Don't be an idiot." Ruby said. "Fox dung!" Skull murmured.

Beechfoot smiled at the crowd of cats around. Maybe the new apprentices would fit in sooner than he thought. "The clan meeting is over!" He meowed, springing back down from the Great Oak. He beckoned the medicine cat closer, and motioned toward the camp entrance. "It's time we went to the Moon Pool."

Hopepaw was excited by all the cheering, and eagerly asked her mentor, "What are we supposed to do now?"

Branchflight smiled at her. "Why, we train you of course. Come on, I'll show you our territory!"

"Does Faithpaw and her mentor get to come with?" Hopepaw was jumping in place now.

"If Brackenleap is okay with it." Branchflight turned her gaze to him, a questioning look in her eyes.

(Oh shh)
"Well, why not?" Brackenleap said. Faithpaw's eyes beamed. "Yay! But, why were we given-" she started to say. "Look, we'll explain everything soon." Brackenleap said. "First, the area of volcanoes." he went to the edge of the forest, we're the air was getting humid. "Aits hot here." Faithpaw said, shaking her fluffy fur. "Now we dot want to go too far, beyond the woods is the Swamp,Mountains, and Volcano land. That's where the other three clans live. " he explained to the young apprentices. "Cool" Faithpaw said.

Fierystar sniffed the air.OakClan! he thought. Perfect! It's what he needed. OakClan would be Ruby's next target. The scent faded. They were going away. Well, he could follow the scent behind the, to their camp. Fierystar went the opposite way of the 4 cats.

"Cool!" Hopepaw exclaimed when she saw the volcanos. "I've never seen those before! What kind of clan lives there?"

"FireClan lives there, Hopepaw. They seem to enjoy the heat over there." Branchflight explained.

Brackenleap stopped. He sniffed the air. "What is it?" Faithpaw asked "Oh, just typical FireClan scent." he said casually. Faithpaw nodded. "I don't think I would fit in with FireClan.

Hopepaw heard some booming noises and saw flashes of lightning further on along the border. "What the . . .?"

Branchflight mewed in amusement. "That's StormClan territory. No cat knows why they live there, or even survive it. They just do." She grinned at Hopepaw's expression and then noticed three cats in StormClan territory. "Oh, look! It's Beechfoot and the medicine cat being escorted to the Moon Pool by the StormClan leader, Lightningstar! Beechfoot is going to be Beechstar the next time we see him, and then he's going to choose a deputy!"

"Beechstar?" Hopepaw was confused. "But he already has a name!"

Branchflight shook her head. "Once a deputy becomes leader, the second part of his or her name becomes "star". Apprentices have the second part of their as "paw", and warriors have their second part of their name anything the leader chooses."

"Oh, I get it now!" Hopepaw said, nodding.

"Hmm, we shouldn't interupt. Anyway, you two might be leaders someday." Brackenleap poked Faithpaw.

"Yeah, right." Hopepaw muttered. "I'm just a kitty pet, like that cat said. I don't know the first thing about being a warrior." Branchflight cuffed her over the ears. "That's why we're training you!! Come on, we'll check out the MistClan border and then you'll get to learn how to hunt!" She bounded away along the border, which seemed to go on forever to Hopepaw. Hunting was going to a long time later!

Brackenleap leads the group to the swampy area. "Whoa! Whats that?" Faithpaw said, pointing at two eyes peering from the mud. "Oh it's probably just a croc— CROCODIE?" her metor said. The creature opened it's mouth, reveling tons of small pointed teeeth. Brackenleap grabbed Faithpaw and Hopepaw. Beackenleap looked behind o see if Branchflight followed. "Not you, of all Srarclan-— not the kitty—" he stopped. The best of him made him say kittypet. "You can put me down now." Faithpaw said, narrowing her eyes. She shook herself free from her mentor.

"I've never seen that before!" Hopepaw mewed. She watched it fearfully, wondering if it would bite her.

"Don't worry, Hopepaw. It won't get us as long as it stays on the SwampClan side of the border. Brackenleap was just over-reacting. Come on." Branchflight explained, and with a flourish, she continued to follow the border. And Hopepaw followed, confident in her mentor's words.
